Welcome "Tranquility Base" our new Islander 30 Keel Boat
/Happy Fall WRYC,
I mentioned last month I would have some exciting news to report to the club and here it is! Our newest addition to the fleet is a 30’ Islander Bahamas ! The boat is well equipped and in the process of being moved down from Annapolis to its new home on the Ware River. The boat should be on the hook at the club by the 3rd of November and available for viewing during the Oyster Roast the weekend of the 13th. Soon after it will be moved to the hard at Severn River Marina. We have several items to take care of on this boat as well as our Paceship 26’ Wagtail and I’ll be putting together a list of “to do’s” for both boats soon. Please be on the lookout for the email as I’ll be soliciting help for this work!
We have all but wrapped up the sailing season and will be moving club boats over to the field for the winter months. I could use some help the weekend of the 6/7th moving the Opti’s from the ramp area as well as the Albacores. Please email me @ jgarret1 @ gmx.com if you are available to help. I’ll send out a separate email reminder as well. This shouldn’t take more than an hour tops.
Lastly, I’m working on a survey and meeting agenda for our winter meeting and will get the survey out to the sailing community soon so please be on the lookout. Finally, for those who would still like to contribute to the Keel Boat fund we are just a few thousand away from our goal……any amount helps offset the clubs portion. Thanks for your support !!
Respectfully,
Jim Garrett - Fleet
